The music industry's elite packed the Prriya and Chintans Couture boutique last night to witness the exclusive unveiling of a pair of diamond encrusted Nike So Cal 1's valued at $50,000.

The pricey sneakers were presented to Outkast's Antwan "Big Boi" Patton by Laced Up owner Ernel Dawkins and P&C Couture boutique owner Rita Patel. The exclusive sneaker is dipped in 11 carats of chocolate champagne diamonds from India (click the image of the sneakers to see the detail).

"When it came time to consider which celebrity to honor with this shoe, we thought it would be perfect to go with Atlanta's top sneaker head, Antwan "Big Boi" Patton. To us he represents style and affluent flavor", states Ernel Dawkins (Laced Up owner).

Highlights of the event included the unveiling of the exclusive diamond encrusted sneakers, the presentation of the exclusive sneakers to Big Boi and the release of P&C couture's new ATL line of diamond jewelry.

Is it just me or do they look cheap and raggedy as hell. I would think a $50,000 shoe would be flawless.

Man we are getting more ghetto by the second. Now you know the only people that can afford or would even think about buying those sneakers are young black athletes and rappers. The designer had their cooning behinds in mind when he made them. This is sickening.

Lets see who will be first to get robbed and/or killed for these sneakers by some envious ghetto child.

There are too many homeless people in Atlanta and college students needing scholarships for them to waste money like this. I am not impressed with their attention-seeking bling toys.

Grady is about to be shut down and people in ATL are spending money on this foolishness. SMH!

Nike had no affilitation with this shoe, Laced Up doesnt even have a real Nike account, no offense to big boi, who wouldnt except this, but come on, sneaker culture has been ruined by shit like this, the whole scene has become saturated and commercialized.
